Annie is one of those women who changes everything and everyone she touches.
She was the inspiration for the “Burning of Righteous Passion” theme that was meant for the Gallery Show that COVID killed. We are taking a different virtual path for 2020.. but I still wanted to share this piece and Annie with the world.
Annie is Selfless, and yet fully centered in herself. She never hesitates to help someone else and the unfairness and unkindness in the world get her fully fired up. But she also knows herself and is steadfast and true to the core values that drive her world. If I had to sum up Annie’s philosophy it would be “Love everyone, until they can love themselves. Be still when the time calls for it, but do not hesitate to act when the need is there”.
If you are someone driven by passion and the need to create a world where social justice is natural and not a war, this piece is for you.
I chose the stones for this face of hope because Iolite, in shifting shades of violet-blue carries the spirit of journey, of dreams and intuition, of exploration and illumination. It is a stone for “new beginnings”. It is the hope of a restart, of change for the better. Moonstone is a stone of inner growth and strength. It soothes emotional instability and stress, and stabilizes the emotions, providing calmness. Change is not effective if it is just rampant chaos, the focus on inner growth and stress reminds us that change should have a vision and the calm and stability of moonstone help with the stress that even good change can bring. Lapis is the universal symbol of wisdom and truth- reflecting the righteous nature of this burning passion.
